  • Please note that effective immediately we have updated the Emporium Rules for payment options.

In the past, we had required people to use Paypal to head off attempted fraud, which has been a concern for many years. However, we are coming into a new era with people doing different manners of monetary transactions.

Essentially, we'll no longer require anyone to be tied to Paypal only; people can now use whatever payment they want, but we want to let people know they are on their own.

The rule is below as it now reads and will be enforced. The biggest shift is below in BOLD .

    11. Emporium Guideline.

Members who choose to buy/sell gear via The Gear Page Emporiums understand that The Gear Page, its owners, administrators, and moderators a) make no guarantee of accurate descriptions, and b) are not liable for any loss due to transactions between individuals.

Buyer Beware. All transactions are between the two private parties only. If one party shows proof of fraud, the limit of what the owners, administrators, and moderators can do is remove the other party's posting privileges.

In every listing, you must post a price or trade value price. Negotiated terms are private between the two parties. Use the feedback system to report any issue. Members must handle all the problems off of the Forum.

We recommend using a payment service that offers buyer protection, such as PayPal. However, if you choose to trade or use an alternate payment such as Venmo, Zelle, PayPal-Gift, Crypto, or other forms of compensation, there is no recourse or protection for buyers. Furthermore, no security is promised or implied by The Gear Page owners, administrators, or moderators. Therefore, proceed at your own risk.

Can anyone help me figure out how to make my Boss RC20XL looper more useful??

I play alot of ambient stuff and would love to be able to use this live and record some loops that I can reverse or just play on top of. I just havent gotten the hold of how to actually manipulate this pedal to my likeing.

I am debating on even selling it so idk....

*Also I noticed that there is a slight delay when I am done recording a loop when I hit play, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

my chain:
T1m buffer>Xotic RC Booster> mod BOSS CS3>JHS Morning Glory>Xotic BB Preamp>JHS Mini Foot Fuzz>EHX Micro POG-tuner in the dry out>EHX Holy Grail>Behringer RV 600>Boss DD20>EHX Memory Boy>Boss RC20XL

thanks

A delay should not be normal...however the RC20...is a looper I never cared for.

If you can get some decent money for it, I'd consider selling it to fund a JamMan Stereo. It has a reverse function, which is foot controllable if you get an FS3x...otherwise you just bend over and hit a button. Also, I find it to be more user friendly and sounds better.

there is a delay when your timing is off if you're using the quantize function.

is there a way to record a loop outside of the quantize function so I dont have a delay in time when recording a loop i want to save?

do not set a tempo before recording. press the left pedal to begin recording and press it again to continue looping, tapping it one more time will begin overdubbing.

if you have it set to record when you start playing it will automatically quantize, same with setting a tempo.

turn the guide all the way ccw to eliminate the metronome.

this should allow seamless playback, does with mine anyway.

RC20XL also has a reverse function which is controllable via footswitch
